Workshop on Challenges and Opportunities for the Textiles and Clothing Sector in the Euro-Mediterranean Region

The TEMP project will participate at the WORKSHOP ON CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE TEXTILES AND CLOTHING SECTOR IN THE EURO-MEDITERRANEAN REGION, organized by DG ENTERPRISE which is taking place next, 12th-13th March, at the Palazzo Turati –Via Meravigli 9/b, 20123 Milan, Italy. The TEMP project will be represented with two communications . The project coordinator, Helder Rosendo, will present a communication about the contribute of the TEMP project to better scientific and business cooperation in the Euromed region. Anilkumar Dave, from Treviso Tecnologia, will present the lessons learned and expected impact from the EUMED Gateway website, developed under the TEMP project. Coaching action in IPR & innovation in Tunis


The coaching action in IPR & innovation, within the TEMP project mobility program, took place this last 5th and 6th of March at CETTEX premises in Tunis. Helder Rosendo from CITEVE and Elisa Toniolo from Treviso Tecnologia have been coaching this session about IPR tools and its importance within the innovation process as well as how to manage in a more effective way the innovation process: Concepts and definitions, trends, best practices and tools towards more effective IPR management and better innovation results.

TEMP Consortium met in Italy

The TEMP project consortium met in Prato, during last November at NEXT Tecnotessile premises. The mobility program, which is supporting the capacity building process at the Tunisian Textile Centre CETTEX, was one of the key topics in this working meeting. The next dissemination actions have also been planned and the first semester of 2012 will be particularly active in this matter, namely with a set of workshops being held in Italy, Portugal and Tunisia. The next project meeting is scheduled for June 2012, at the TEXMED exhibition in Tunis, where the TEMP project will have a stand.

The 3rd Technical meeting of the TEMP project took place last May 31st at CITEVE's facilities in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. A full day agenda went trough several operational aspects of the project work packages, but must of the time was dedicated to the EU-MED gateway portal and to the mobility programme. At this stage the exchange of researchers within the Enviromental/Energy topic and within the Product/Process technologies topic is on going, namely between CITEVE + TREVISO TECNOLOGIA and CETTEX which is the host organization.  

The Mobility Program is On Going!

The TEMP project mobility program has officially started in last April, by the first action within the Environmental and Energy Management Topic. CITEVE’s experts Renato Dias and Rui Martins stayed in CETTEX for two days giving specific lectures about Energy Management and Environmental Management to a group of 15 researchers and technicians from CETTEX. Things like research priorities, relevant services, data analysis, water management technologies, waste water analysis and energy efficiency practices were addressed to an audience from which two experts will be selected in order to integrate CITEVE’s research team in those field of expertise, during a coaching session that will take place on June at CITEVE’s premises. The TEMP mobility program foreseen mobility actions within different expertise areas: Environmental and Energy Management; Product Development; Design & Fashion; Laboratorial Management.
